Our garden is springing into life

Despite the chill in the air, our garden is finally beginning to show the welcome signs of spring. Our local frogs certainly think it’s worth a visit – there are piles of them in the pond surrounded by frogspawn. No-one here has ever seen anything like it so now’s the time to come if you like your frogs.

A few pictures for you in anticipation of your visit:

Have a look at the Garden page of our website for more pictures – we’ll be updating them with our seasonal highlights. You could also follow us on Twitter, where we try to post weekly highlights of the garden – @SLBotanicalInst.

The garden will be open for National Gardens Scheme on Sunday 19 April, Open Garden Squares Weekend on Sunday 14 June and various Thursday evenings through the summer (as well as our usual Thursdays and Saturdays) so keep an eye on our Events page.
