Annual General Meeting (online) and Talk

A short meeting to discuss the past year’s happenings followed by a talk by Dr Fred Rumsey, Former Senior Curator in Charge of Historical Collections, Algae, Fungi and Plants Division, Life Sciences Department at the Natural History Museum, London.

Fred will be talking on the subject of broomrapes, following his recently published book “Broomrapes of Britain & Ireland, BSBI Handbook number 22” (Thorogood & Rumsey, 2021)when he will be talking about these fascinating parasitic plants.He will provide an update on how our rarest species are doing following recent survey work, look at some new arrivals and interesting finds, as well as talk about his newly described taxa and a previously overlooked species.
