Identifying Wild Plants – 1-6 courses

One of six sessions, each of which will focus on 3-4 common wild plant families. You will be introduced to each family and their main vegetative and floral characteristics and then practice identification skills, using keys, and examine the plants in the field. This session will be on the cabbage, carrot and rose families. Participants will use hand lenses to examine the plants, if possible please bring either of the two following books: The Wild Flower Key (Revised Edition) – How to identify wild plants, trees and shrubs in Britain and Ireland (2006) Francis Rose & Clare O’Reilly or New Flora of the British Isles (2019) Clive A.
