Light Rains Sometimes Fall – Online talk/reading by the author Lev Parikian
24th March, 19:00 - 20:00Donation
Discovering nature on your doorstep
Plants Aren’t Birds
Lev Parikian’s book Light Rains Sometimes Fall is about a year of nature on his local south London patch near to the SLBI, recorded following the Japanese calender of 72 micro seasons of five days each.
But while the process of exploring and writing about his local area gave him great solace and joy, he also discovered just how little he knows about any part of nature that doesn’t have feathers.
Lev will talk about the idea behind the book, the difficulty of teaching an old dog new tricks, and the pleasure to be found in discovering nature on your doorstep.
