New Year’s Day Wildflower Plant Hunt in Brockwell Park

A plant hunting walk for a brand new year
Roy Vickery will be seeking out the wild plants in flower in this beautiful city park and recording the results as part of the BSBI (Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland)’s annual New Year Plant Hunt.
Meet at the clock tower in Brockwell Park for a walk to see how many plants we can find in flower at this time of year.
All welcome, drop in for as long as you can.
No botanical expertise necessary.
The walk will last approximately 90 minutes and will include some rougher terrain, so please wear appropriate footwear.
Roy is a renowned botanist specialising in plant-lore as well as the author of Vickery’s Folk Flora.
Tickets: Free event – no booking necessary, please just turn up at the meeting point. Donations are much appreciated.
