Press for Time (Plant mounting workshop)
Learn to press and preserve your plants to create herbarium specimens, greetings cards and framed artwork

Learn herbarium techniques and skills to make the perfect scientific herbarium specimen which is used to help identify your plant. With these skills you will also be able to create unique greetings cards and artwork to be framed.

What else you will learn

  • How to arrange your dried plants on a herbarium sheet and to apply glue to fix it neatly.
  • How to re-press your sheet to obtain a beautifully pressed specimen with a label which is the basis of all plant taxonomy.

This workshop will be led by Nicky Nicoll.
