Scarce Clovers – A walk in Blackheath
Saturday, 29th May 2021, 10:00 - 12:00
A gentle walk to look for Blackheath’s clovers and allies, which only appear at the end of May, plus other flora and fauna.
Joe Beale ACIEEM is a London-based naturalist and an experienced tutor. He organises lichen surveys in London and worked on the lichen collection at the Natural History Museum while on the Identification Trainers for the Future programme. Joe has extensive experience of recording wildlife and plants in London’s parks and green spaces and he contributes regularly to publications such as the London Naturalist and the London Bird Report. He is passionate about the fascinating biodiversity of London’s green spaces and communicating this richness to others. Bring a hand lens if you have one.
Joe will be basing the walk on his guide to Blackheath’s clovers. Attendees can download a copy from the Blackheath Society here: The Blackheath Society : Leaflets & Guides
