Spring Gardens, Vauxhall – A Plant Walk

What you can find growing in an urban green space?
Roy Vickery will lead this walk identifying what plants have sprung up on this slice of historic green in the midst of a busy urban sprawl. Previously known as the Pleasure Gardens, it is also home to Vauxhall City Farm.
Roy is a renowned botanist specialising in plant-lore and also president of the SLBI, as well as the author of Vickery’s Folk Flora.
NB Participants are limited to the numbers currently permitted by the government regarding social distancing, presently 6 people at 1+ metres, should that change we will update the ticket availability.
Roy will not be wearing a mask for audio reasons i.e. so that he can be heard, but will be happy to should any participant prefer him to.
Tickets £10 . Meet at the junction of Glasshouse Walk and Worgan Street SE11 5EX at 11 am.
