Winter Tree Walk, Richmond, Surrey

John Poland, author of ‘The Field Key to Winter Twigs‘, will lead a walk around the Terrace Gardens at Richmond, showing us how to identify a wide range of common and rare trees in winter.
Terrace Gardens, on Richmond Hill, is a formal garden overlooking the River Thames, famous for seasonal bedding, shrubberies, a rockery and rose garden, all set amongst fine trees and sloping lawns.
The walk will be 3 hours including a lunch break. There is a cafe to warm up in!
