An inner-city walk discovering springtime plants
Plants that colonise disturbed areas
A leisurely walk on the Common where we will be looking mostly at weeds but also some of the other plants of interest that grow in public spaces
Roy is a renowned botanist specialising in plant-lore and also president of the SLBI, as well as the author of Vickery’s Folk Flora.
NB Participants are limited to the numbers currently permitted by the government regarding social distancing, presently 6 people at 1+ metres, should that change we will update the ticket availability.
Roy will not be wearing a mask for audio reasons i.e. so that he can be heard, but will be happy to should any participant prefer him to.
NB: There is some uneven ground, but can adapt to suit our walkers.
