Birds and Nature Conservation – Worldwide challenges & some success stories
Ecological, Climate and Political Challenges for Conservation – reasons for hope!

Conservation for all – species, habitats – and plants

Paul has 35 years of experience of working on conservation projects and building capacity in conservation organisations in the UK, around Africa and elsewhere. He will outline some of the ecological, climate and political challenges that conservation faces and then offer some reasons for hope. He will describe some successful projects focused on:

1) endangered species

2) critical habitats

3) building people’s capacity for conservation. While most programmes originated with birds, they also demonstrably have many benefits for plants!

Paul Buckley, conservation consultant and author
