Edible Plant Trail – Children’s Half-Term Activity*
Tuesday, 1st June 2021, 13:00 - 17:00
There are edible plants all around us – we just have to notice them.
Come and explore the SLBI garden, follow our Edible Plants Trail and see if you can crack the clues. How do the plants grow? Do they have a smell? Which parts can we eat? We’ve got fruits and roots, berries and vines, flowers and secret powers. We might also have tea and biscuits!
Timings: The trail starts and finishes in the SLBI garden and will take about 1 hour to complete. . 4 sessions available: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm.
Age: Any age! Younger children will need support.
Tickets: £5 per child with one carer, refundable deposit* (on attendance) – 10 spaces available for each session.
Sarah Webley, SLBI Education and Outreach Co-ordinator
*Please note: Thanks to funding from City Bridge Trust for our Botany on Your Plate project we are able to offer refundable tickets for this event. If you are able to pay this sum we would be very appreciative of you making this fee a donation to the SLBI – thankyou
