SLBI speaker series: Gardening for pollinators and ecological resilience

Join Benny Hawksbee at the SLBI in our speaker series discussing how we can make the best of our gardens in the face of our changing climate and practical ways we can support local ecology in our garden spaces. Benny will also exchange his expertise into bees and wasps of London.
About Benny Hawksbee
Benny is a London-based community gardener who trained and worked as a marine biologist, before falling in love with plants.
He is the head gardener for Eden Nature Garden in London and has been gardening for wildlife here for 11 years, with the local community at the heart of everything. He believes the future of climate resilience and recovery lies with people who work with their hands in the soil.
His plant passion takes the shape of combining wild, native plants with a sprinkling of more ornamental garden plants (a ‘wildamental’ approach). When he isn’t working as a gardener, Benny is usually out somewhere trying to identify and record insects.
