Urban Nature/Natura urbana: excursions through the multispecies city

Urban Nature/Natura urbana: excursions through the multispecies city
Talk: 7pm-8pm followed by refreshments: 7.30pm-8pm
In this talk Matthew Gandy will reflect on different aspects of his research and writing on urban nature. He will draw on diverse examples such as rare flies in London, ruderal plants in Berlin, and migratory birds in Chennai. We will consider the changing scope of urban ecology as a field of wonder and fascination that brings a sense of magic to the most ordinary urban spaces.
Join us for this in person at the SLBI and stay for refreshments!
