The Art of Free Plants: Propagation Workshop for Beginners
Join us for a hands-on introduction to plant propagation. Perfect for absolute beginners, this workshop requires no previous experience and will teach you the fundamentals of creating new plants from existing ones. Helping you grow your garden or houseplant collection without spending a fortune.
During the workshop, you’ll learn three simple and effective propagation methods:
Seed propagation
Discover how to collect and sow seeds to grow new plants. This is one of the most common propagation methods and works particularly well for annuals and many flowering plants.
Division
Learn how to divide mature plants into smaller sections, each with its own roots and shoots. This technique is ideal for many perennials and ornamental grasses.
Cuttings
Find out how to take stem cuttings and root them in water or soil to create new plants. This method is perfect for many houseplants, herbs, and shrubs.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the knowledge and confidence to propagate plants using simple techniques and a few plants to take home. No experience necessary, just bring your curiosity and enthusiasm for plants.
