Wetland Flora Walk – Wandsworth Common
Friday, 4th September 2020, 11:00 - 12:30
Plants that thrive near water
Roy Vickery will lead this walk taking a look at the wetland flora on a site of borough importance grade 1 for nature conservation. Areas such as these where water and dry land meet are home to a wide range of species and hopefully we will find a good variety here.
Roy is a renowned botanist specialising in plant-lore and also president of the SLBI, as well as the author of Vickery’s Folk Flora.
NB Participants are limited to the numbers currently permitted by the government regarding social distancing, presently 6 people at 1+ metres, should that change we will update the ticket availability.
Roy will not be wearing a mask for audio reasons i.e. so that he can be heard, but will be happy to should any participant prefer him to.
Tickets £10 . Meet in Wandsworth Common Station ticket hall at 11 am.
